How To Make Gravy To Go With Anything


Once you know how to make a roux you can make a homemade gravy to go with anything.


The process is the same simply begin by making your roux by combining butter and flour again adding minced onions to your gravy will give it even more flavor, but this is optional.


If adding onions add them to the butter until softened then add the flour to give you a delicious roux.

The only thing that changes is the liquid you add to your roux once cooked.


With a ham gravy you add ham drippings and place a couple of pineapple slices in the gravy to give it a rich sweet flavor perfect for a honey baked ham.


With a beef gravy, you can use beef broth and add even more sliced onions to make an easy brown gravy to serve over ribeye steak.


You can even substitute a couple tablespoons of A1 if you don't have beef broth available.
